| 内容記述 | 人道主義は、いかにして今日の国際社会における普遍的な道義的価値規範として確立されるに至ったのか。本稿は、近代国際法、特に19世紀後半に急速に発展した戦時国際法の法典化の歴史を辿ることにより、人道概念の普遍化の過程を考察するとともに、特に冷戦終結後の武力紛争に伴い国連、NGO、諸国軍隊等による広範な人道支援活動が展開される今日、グローバルな枠組みの中で人道主義が直面する多様な問題とその将来展望を考察する。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study is aimed at clarifing the process of how the concept of humanity (humanitarianism) has been accepted and established in the international community as an universal moral norm from the aspect of the codification of international law, the laws of war in particular, thereby to analyze the condition, definition to be required by the concept of humanity or the humanitarian assistance in modern days. The concept of humanity had been incorporated as a key resource of the laws into the international law in late 19th century and , ever since, has been developed into the world common moral value of the international community. However, on the one hand, the uprising humanitarian assistance to be carried out by the military sectors since after 90's has proposed the issue of how defining the term of "humanitarian assistance", notably "humanity" itself., and on the other hand, in the accelerating globalization, conventional notion of humanity which was basically originated from the western Christian norms has been on the topics of much discussions. This study sheds light on these current issues which humanitarianism faces today and seeks for the future perspective of humanity as the supreme universal value of modern international community. | |||||
