A survey form of skill experiences was prepared with reference to \"The levels of basic nursing skills practiced by student nurses during their on‑site clinical practicum,\" based on which a survey conducted on the basic nursing skills experienced by the students in their clinical practicum of chronic adult nursing and the level of practice. The survey was conducted with nursing college students in their third year who did their clinical given to chronic adult nursing at a highly‑specialized medical center. 154 students answered the survey. As a result, many of the basic nursing skills with a high experience rate fell under the category of \"Level 1 Skills students can practice by themselves.\" This can be considered because the previous practical experiences in the clinical practicum of basic nursing etc. became the motivation for support practice in the clinical practicum of chronic adult nursing. Moreover, there are many items the students can practice by themselves before the clinical practicum. It is assumed that such experiences gave confidence to the students in providing nursing care to patients, which resulted in active support practice, and that the experiences become a further motivating factor for the next support. The experience of basic nursing skills in the clinical practicum at a highly‑specialized medical center was not significantly different from the reported skill items with high experience rate by nursing college students in their clinical practicum in terms of the kinds of and the rate of experience. In addition, it was not significantly different from the reported skill items with low experience rate in terms of the kinds and the rate of experience. From the above, it can be determined that conducting clinical practicum at a highly‑specialized medical center does not place limitations on the student nurses' experience of basic nursing
